AquaBac® 400G is a biological insecticide containing Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (Bti) strain BMP 144. It is designed to target mosquito larvae in various aquatic habitats. The product works by being ingested by larvae, leading to their control. It is intended for use in water sites such as pools, ponds, flood waters, and catch basins. The label specifies that it can be applied to both indoor and outdoor aquatic environments, though it is primarily used in outdoor water bodies. When using this product, technicians should be aware of specific application rates based on the target site and the level of infestation. Handling notes include precautions to avoid contact with eyes, skin, or clothing, and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment. It is important to note that the product is effective against mosquito larvae but does not control adult mosquitoes. Users should follow specific mixing and application instructions to ensure efficacy and safety.
