The Problem With Managing Influencers and Affiliates on WooCommerce

Most WooCommerce stores that work with influencers and affiliates cobble together a workflow from spreadsheets, coupon codes, and manual PayPal transfers. Tracking clicks means trusting UTM parameters that break when links are shared on social media. Attribution is last-click only, which means the creator who introduced a customer gets nothing if the customer clicks a different link before buying. Commission calculations happen manually at the end of the month, and payouts are late because nobody has time to reconcile everything.

LuperIQ Creator Hub replaces that entire workflow with a single module inside your WordPress admin. Every creator gets a profile, a unique tracking code, and short links that work across any channel. Clicks, conversions, and commissions are tracked automatically. Attribution uses the model you choose. Payouts are calculated and grouped for you. And creators get their own portal to manage links, view stats, and build embeddable widgets — without ever needing admin access to your store.

Everything You Need for WooCommerce Influencer & Affiliate Management

Creator Management

Profiles, Codes & Lifecycle

Each creator gets a profile linked to a WordPress user, a unique tracking code (CR+6 characters), and a status lifecycle: pending, approved, or suspended. Import creators in bulk with the 3-step CSV wizard or let them apply through the self-service portal.

Performance Tier System

Automated Commission Scaling

Five default tiers from Starter (5%) to Ambassador (20%). The system recalculates tier placement daily based on 30-day performance metrics and sends upgrade notification emails automatically.

Link Tracking & Attribution

Short Links With Fraud Detection

Every creator gets short links via /go/{code} with a built-in UTM builder. Clicks are tracked with device detection and IP rate limiting to flag suspicious activity before it inflates your numbers.

Multi-Touch Attribution Engine

Four Models, One System

Choose Last Click, First Click, Linear, or Time Decay attribution. Touchpoints are tracked with session management across a configurable window of 7 to 90 days, so the right creator gets credit for every sale.

Commission & Revenue System

Auto-Created on Every Order

Commissions are created automatically when WooCommerce orders come in. A 30-day hold period protects you from paying out on refunded orders. Approved commissions are released automatically via cron.

Payout Management

Structured Payments, Multiple Methods

Approved commissions are grouped per creator into payout records. Four payment methods are supported: PayPal, bank transfer, check, and store credit. Auto-generation runs monthly or quarterly with configurable minimum thresholds.

Campaign Management

Budget Tracking With Auto-Controls

Create campaigns with budget caps, commission rate overrides, and date-based lifecycles. Campaigns auto-activate on their start date, auto-complete when the budget is exhausted, and auto-pause on their end date.

Creator Portal

Self-Service Dashboard for Creators

Five shortcodes give creators a full portal: dashboard with tier progress, link management with UTM builder, performance stats with bar charts, and a widget builder for Product Showcase, Referral Badge, and Promo Banner embeds.

Embeddable Widget System

Creators Promote Your Products

Creators build widgets from the portal and embed them on their own sites. The REST API serves widget data with impression tracking and CORS support — no iframes required.

Who This Module Is Built For

Any WooCommerce store that works with creators, influencers, or affiliates and needs a system that goes beyond coupon-code tracking.

DTC Brands Working With Influencers

  • Track which creators actually drive sales, not just clicks, using multi-touch attribution across a configurable window.
  • Reward top performers automatically with tiered commission rates that increase as they hit milestones.
  • Give creators their own portal so they can grab links, check stats, and build promotional widgets without emailing you.

WooCommerce Stores Running Affiliate Programs

  • Replace spreadsheet-based tracking with automated click, conversion, and commission logging across 15 database tables.
  • Set up structured payout cycles — monthly or quarterly — with minimum thresholds and four payment methods.
  • Run time-limited campaigns with budget caps that auto-pause when the budget is exhausted.

Agencies Building Creator Programs for Clients

  • Deploy a full affiliate and influencer system without external SaaS platforms or monthly per-creator fees.
  • The CSV import wizard lets you onboard existing creator rosters in bulk with a 3-step process.
  • Webhook support with 10 event types and HMAC signing lets you connect to any external system the client uses.

How Multi-Touch Attribution Works

When a visitor clicks a creator's tracking link, the module records a touchpoint with the creator ID, timestamp, device type, and session identifier. If the visitor clicks links from multiple creators before purchasing, each touchpoint is stored. When an order is placed, the attribution engine evaluates all touchpoints within the configured attribution window and distributes credit according to the model you selected.

Last Click gives 100% credit to the creator whose link was clicked most recently before the purchase. First Click gives 100% to the creator who originally introduced the customer. Linear splits credit equally across all creators who contributed touchpoints. Time Decay weights credit toward the most recent touchpoints, so creators who influenced the customer closer to the purchase receive a larger share.

The attribution window is configurable from 7 to 90 days. A 30-day window means only touchpoints from the last 30 days before the order are considered. This prevents a creator who drove a click six months ago from claiming credit for a purchase driven by a different creator last week. You can change the model and window at any time from the Settings page.

The Commission and Payout Pipeline

When a WooCommerce order is placed and attributed to a creator, the module automatically creates a commission record tied to that order. The commission amount is calculated using the creator's current tier rate, unless a campaign override is active. Commissions enter a 30-day hold period, during which the order can be refunded. If the order is refunded, the commission is reversed automatically — you never pay out on canceled orders.

After the hold period, a cron job automatically approves the commission. Approved commissions are grouped by creator into payout records on a monthly or quarterly schedule. Each payout respects the minimum threshold you configure — if a creator has not earned enough to meet the threshold, their balance carries forward to the next cycle. Four payment methods are supported: PayPal, bank transfer, check, and store credit. The payout record tracks the payment method, amount, status, and processing date.

Beyond Tracking: Webhooks, Widgets, and WooCommerce Discounts

The module includes a webhook system with 10 event types covering creator registration, commission creation, payout processing, campaign changes, and more. Every webhook payload is signed with HMAC for verification, and failed deliveries retry with exponential backoff. This lets you connect Creator Hub to any external CRM, accounting system, or notification platform your team uses.

The embeddable widget system lets creators build Product Showcase, Referral Badge, and Promo Banner widgets from their portal. Each widget is served via a REST API endpoint with impression tracking and CORS support, so creators can embed promotions for your products directly on their websites and social profiles. Impression data flows back into your analytics alongside clicks and conversions.

Approved creators can also receive a WooCommerce price discount — a configurable percentage off product prices when they are logged in. This gives creators a tangible benefit beyond commissions and encourages them to become product advocates who genuinely use what they promote.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the module handle refunds?

When a WooCommerce order is refunded during the 30-day hold period, the associated commission is reversed automatically. The creator's earnings are adjusted, and the reversal is logged in the activity trail. You never pay out on refunded orders.

Can creators sign up on their own?

Yes. The creator portal includes a self-service application flow. Creators submit an application, which enters the system with a pending status. You approve, suspend, or reject applications from the Creators admin page.

What attribution model should I use?

Last Click is the simplest and works well for most programs. If you work with creators who drive awareness at the top of the funnel, First Click or Linear gives them credit they would otherwise lose. Time Decay is useful when you have a long consideration window and want to weight recent influence more heavily.

Do creators need WordPress admin access?

No. The creator portal is built with five shortcodes that you place on any page. Creators log in with a standard WordPress user account and access their dashboard, links, stats, and widget builder from the front end.

How are tracking links structured?

Each creator gets short links in the format /go/{code}, where {code} is their unique creator code (CR followed by 6 characters). The module handles the redirect, records the click with device detection, and applies UTM parameters.

Can I run multiple campaigns at the same time?

Yes. Each campaign has its own budget, commission rate override, and date range. Campaign commissions are tracked separately from the creator's base tier rate. A campaign auto-pauses when its budget is exhausted or its end date is reached.

What payment methods are supported for payouts?

Four methods: PayPal, bank transfer, check, and store credit. The payment method is configured per creator and can be changed at any time. Minimum payout thresholds prevent small-balance payouts from being generated.

Is there an API for external integrations?

The webhook system fires on 10 event types with HMAC-signed payloads and retry logic. The embeddable widget system uses REST API endpoints with CORS support. Both systems work without requiring direct database access.
